Sustainable and Ethical Business Practices:

Pierogi Picnic isn’t just about originality and style, it’s also about living consciously. I strive to make every part of my business eco-friendly and cruelty-free. You won’t find leathers or furs within the line. If you place an order, you will notice that the packaging is made from upcycled cereal boxes. My tags and business cards are also created from partially recycled cardstock.

I attempt to practice good stewardship throughout my business and beyond.

Pierogi Picnic also strives to give back to the community. Be it through volunteering, blogging, or bonding, I try to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk and help others lead more conscientious lifestyles.

It’s about fashion with compassion.

Recycling Textiles:

Each item is handmade using upcycled, vintage, or reclaimed fabric. The material’s life cycle begins in a stranger’s home. After years of use, the owner pitches the item into a donation bin and quickly forgets of its existence. That’s where I come in.

Sifting through thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, and resale shops, I hunt down t-shirts, pillow cases, drapes, fabric scraps, vintage clothing, and more. By salvaging these fabrics Pierogi Picnic is diverting waste that could end up in a landfill. Rather than succumbing to a cradle to grave fate, these materials are given new life by being resurrected into fun urban clothing and accessories.
